| Great Southern Gallery - "The Furniture Gallery where you can design what you want, with the cabinet-maker that will handcraft your piece of furniture for you". Fine Timber Furniture, (designed and made on-site) - Everything from bedside tables, beds, dressing-tables, to dining tables, buffet's, AV Units, Wall Units, occasional tables and Mirrors - all different sizes, timbers and shapes can be made. Plus, Art Exhibitions throughout the year, Original Art, sculptures, stunning hand-blown glass, quality locally made pottery, scarves, Australian made soft toys, gorgeous jewellery and a wide range of gifts. Open Thursday to Sunday 10am to 4pm, & Most Public Holidays (see website for more details). (Bus Tours Welcome by Appointment). (Gallery Closed on Thursdays during summer, Good Friday & from Christmas to 25 January inclusive each year). All the furniture in the Gallery is handcrafted by cabinet-maker Soren Nielsen and the timbers include (but are definitely not limited to), Jarrah, Marri, Sheoak and Tasmanian Oak. There is always a selection of furniture on show (and for sale) at the Gallery, but if you would like a particular piece of furniture specifically designed, we can custom make furniture for you, to your own specifications.
As well as our Fine Solid Timber Furniture, there is a wide range of beautiful gifts, including quality handcrafted pottery, handblown glass, unique jewellery, bowls and vases. We have lots of Australian made products, great for taking overseas.
The Original Artwork on display at Great Southern Gallery is broad and varied. Each Artwork reflects the individual artist that creates it. The paintings differ in size from quite small to very large. Watercolours, oils, acrylics, pastels and mixed media, the Artwork is diverse.
Art Exhibition's are held in our Exhibition Room throughout the year (Free Admission). Please refer to Great Southern Gallery's website for up-to-date exhibition information. Directions: Great Southern Gallery is located at 1727 Great Southern Highway, Woottating in the Avon Valley. Getting to our Gallery from Perth CBD, you follow Great Eastern Highway until you reach the Lakes Roadhouse. Turn right, onto Great Southern Highway (otherwise known as the Perth/York or Chidlow/York Road). We are located approximately 17kms on the left hand side of the Great Southern Highway from the Lakes Roadhouse turnoff (about 10minutes from the Roadhouse).
Coming from York, we are located approximately 30kms on the right hand side of the Great Southern Highway (about 20minutes from York). Look out for the Great Southern Gallery signs and flags at the driveway.

Latest News
Great Southern Gallery has six separate Exhibitions arranged for 2012. Admission is Free. The First Exhibition for 2012 will be: Salt n Wood pottery by Greg Crowe. 12 Feb to 25 March.
This will be followed by:
Straw Art original framed artwork by Artist Lila Susana Banderas de Edwards 1 April to 13 May.
Original Artwork by Artist Pam Lockwood 27 May to 8 July.
The Poppettes a series of original artwork by artist Alison Downie 22 July to 2 September.
SARWON Artist S Ellis, original artwork 16 September to 28 October
And the final Exhibition for 2012 will be a selection of original artworks by a group of mixed artists 4 November 2012 to 1 February 2013.
