The Wild Oats Music Festival returns with a BANG in 2010 and will see Bernard Park, Northam come to life with live Australian bands, perfectly timed at the end of summer. Wild Oats will feature local Northam lads "The Novacaines" and the "Trigger Jackets" as well as West Australian heavyweights "Grinspoon" and "Jebediah", "The Sneaky Weasel Gang" will also be in on the live music action.Tickets are $45 and will be on sale soon. This is a licenced event. Camping is available at Jubilee Oval for $15 per person including breakfast. There is also a wide variety of accommodation available in York.
The Wild Oats Ute Muster welcomes utes from around the Wheatbelt and surrounds to swarm to Northam and show their stuff. Various Show N Shine categories will be on offer with fantastic prizes. Thr Ute Muster will commence with a parade down Fitzgerald Street, climaxing with an exhibition of utes far and wide at Henry Steer Oval.The Wild Oats Festival is a weekend of action not to be missed! Entry is $20 and comes with free camping on Jubilee Oval. Camping includes a Sunday breakfast. Accommodation is also available in York with something to suit all budgets.
Check out the action as the Vintage sports cars race around the streets of Northam. Family fun day in the Avon Mall with activities and entertainment for all the family.

Back due to popular demand Fiddlestix Bush Band will be performing at the York Town Hall on 9th May, doors opening at 7.30pm. Fiddlestix has a 7 man lineup including a dance caller and will perform many well known Australian bush songs and dances. The theme this year is a 'Hillbilly Ball' so come dressed as your favourite member of the Clampitt family and join in the fun. The format is Cabaret, BYO alcohol and food and seating is tables of 10. Refreshments (tea/coffee/cakes etc) will be available.
