Town Hall Cabarets

The York Town Hall has a fascinating history and worth careful examination whilst you're in York.

Constructed in 1911, the Town Hall is a significant part of York's townscape and a fine example of Edwardian opulence, with its columns, ornate facade and significant fanlight over the main entrance. It represents Yorks increased wealth caused by the opening up of the Eastern Goldfields and is a grand statement by the local citizens in response to the government buildings in Avon Terrace

The Town Hall is believed to offer the largest dance floor outside of Perth and offers fabulous nights of entertainment throughout the year, mostly cabaret style events.
